3rd February 2012:  At 10 pm AEDT it was announced that Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Bishop Leslie Tomlinson, an Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne, as Bishop of Sandhurst (Bendigo) Victoria.  He replaces the late Bishop Joseph Grech, who died suddenly just over a year ago.
