4th May 2012:  Archbishop Denis Hart has been elected as the new President of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, replacing Archbishop Philip Wilson, who has completed his maximum six year term.  The conference president serves a two year term, and can be re-elected for a maximum of three two year terms.
