PARISH SCHOOLS DAY 2011
Each year we gather as a parish schools community. Staff, students and parents from all three schools gather to celebrate what Catholic education is all about. More photos here.
The combined schools' concert band is one of the special projects that were put into place in 2007 to bring together students from the three Catholic schools of our parish.
This video footage was taken in August this year and features students from Holy Family Primary, St Francis Xavier Primary and Xavier College at an informal recital in the music rooms at Xavier Catholic College.
The students and audience had a very enjoyable time and there are signs of great things to come. A greatly expanded Band and Orchestral program will be put into operation in 2008 - pooling the resources of our three schools and drpawing on some c onsiderable musical expertise in teh local community.
Thanks to the loyal and generous parishioners of past and present, we are blessed with closely coordinated K to 12 education.
Nano Nagle established the Presentation Sisters in Cork, Ireland. Their charism ofCatholic education continues in our parish through the lay teachers of today.
